Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) SC Comaros's Armando Pinho started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Manuel Melo was out of position in the 14 minute of play, and Armando Pinho capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Armando Pinho really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hélder Matos in the 21st minute of play forced SC Comaros's goalkeeper Américo Carneiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Benfarras's Manuel Melo got control of the ball when Vítor Abreu tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Vítor Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 35 played minutes SC Comaros got a freekick which was hit by Inácio Veiga. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

After having played for 51 minutes, Vítor Abreu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Comaros's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vítor Abreu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Manuel Melo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 92 minutes into the match, Benfarras's Basílio Viana sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Américo Carneiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Basílio Viana who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 93rdth minute tested the skills of Américo Carneiro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SC Comaros fans cheered their team off the field, for while Benfarras had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
