After 11 minutes, Fábio Faria mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Contige FC and the SC Moscavide players grew even worse after the yellow card. The SC Moscavide fans' excitement grew in the 19th match minute when SC Moscavide's Diogo Fernandes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Duarte Macedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augusto Matias in the 33rd minute of the match. If Diogo Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Inácio Paiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diogo Fernandes, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. SC Moscavide's Diogo Fernandes got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fábio Faria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Diogo Fernandes made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Fábio Faria managed to get in a good position for a shot. Contige FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fábio Faria was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Duarte Macedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
