Manuel Henriques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Artur Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 10th minute, Miguel Aleixo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 14th play minutes Manuel Henriques shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Jaime Campos and just under the crossbar into goal. 22 minutes into the game, Manuel Henriques cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Jaime Campos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Luís Barros came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the SC Besteirinhos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Barros couldn't finish the play. In the 31st minute, Luís Barros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Miguel Aleixo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albertino Rocha having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Cortinhola's zone, Manuel Henriques stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jaime Campos came out of the goal and Manuel Henriques tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luís Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jaime Campos having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Luís Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Besteirinhos's supporters rose to their feet, but Luís Barros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jaime Campos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Manuel Henriques to make the kick off. After 52 played minutes Cortinhola got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Assunção. Albertino Rocha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Aleixo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manuel Henriques recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Manuel Henriques might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jaime Campos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Manuel Henriques ran back to his position shaking his head. Luís Barros struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Jaime Campos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Besteirinhos. Miguel Aleixo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albertino Rocha having to interfere. If Artur Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 86 minutes, Luís Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Besteirinhos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Barros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Manuel Henriques's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jaime Campos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Manuel Henriques in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jaime Campos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the final whistle sounded SC Besteirinhos left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Cortinhola.
