In the 8th minute, Alberto Anjos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Almo FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Alfredo Dias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 14 minutes, Filipe Coimbra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Giela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filipe Coimbra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lucas Dantas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filipe Coimbra in the 15th minute of play. Alfredo Luz scored 1-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lucas Dantas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Filipe Coimbra in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lucas Dantas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fábio Paredes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adelino Dantas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 24 minutes, Filipe Coimbra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Giela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filipe Coimbra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Albertino Figueiredo fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Giela's protests and gave Albertino Figueiredo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 34th minute there was a penalty for Almo FC. António Leite stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Fábio Paredes. 1-2. Alberto Anjos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Fábio Paredes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adelino Dantas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fábio Paredes having to interfere. Fábio Paredes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Anjos in the 43rd minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In a very dangerous position, a player in Giela fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 76th minute. Penalty! If Alberto Anjos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alberto Anjos's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 88thth minute, Fábio Paredes skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Fábio Paredes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adelino Dantas in the 96th minute of the match.
