An unexpectedly hard shot by Artur Brás in the 11th minute of play forced Menjoelho's goalkeeper Paulo Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Artur Brás managed to get in a good position for a shot. Videira's supporters rose to their feet, but Artur Brás was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulo Vale breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Menjoelho's Domingos Branco got a free kick in the 14th minute. If Artur Brás had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21st minute, Artur Ferreira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 22 minutes into the game, Miguel Delgado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Menjoelho's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Videira the free kick. When the match clock showed 46 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Miguel Delgado sped through Videira's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Artur Andrade. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Miguel Delgado to make the kick off. After 56 played minutes Menjoelho got a freekick which was hit by Domingos Branco. When Miguel Delgado came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Menjoelho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miguel Delgado couldn't finish the play. 73 minutes into the match, Videira's Manuel Branco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paulo Vale narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 75 minutes, Manuel Branco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Videira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manuel Branco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Artur Brás blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Paulo Vale having to make a save. Miguel Delgado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artur Andrade having to interfere. Heitor Reis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 90th minute, Oliveira Henriques hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Artur Brás fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Vale having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artur Brás in the 98th minute of play forced Menjoelho's goalkeeper Paulo Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Despite being the better team, Videira failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
