Pedro Pires tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 10 minutes into the match, Videira's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Ferreira came free, but Artur Andrade reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Vimioso FC booed when Videira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oliveira Henriques didn't get a good kick on the ball. Videira's Artur Andrade proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Videira from getting a goal against them. In the 21st match minute, Videira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nuno Carvalho to maneuver through the defense. Artur Brás took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Pires. Pedro Pires dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 37 minutes, Oliveira Henriques mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Videira and the Vimioso FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 37th minute, Oliveira Henriques hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Manuel Veiga in the 38th minute really tested Artur Andrade's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Branco in the 40th minute of play forced Vimioso FC's goalkeeper Pedro Pires to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lucas Veiga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Videira's Artur Andrade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Veiga in the 54th minute of play. After 61 played minutes Vimioso FC got a freekick which was hit by Amílcar Delgado. In the 62nd minute, Artur Brás fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Pedro Pires, passed just outside the right post. After a rather tough play, Videira's Artur Ferreira got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Manuel Branco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Pedro Pires made a huge save. Artur Andrade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Veiga in the 76th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Artur Ferreira during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Artur Andrade showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Ferreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. In the 80th minute Lucas Veiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artur Andrade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Videira's Artur Andrade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Ferreira in the 90th minute of play. Augusto Henriques was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 94 minutes into the match. In the 93rd minute, one of Videira:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Videira. When the referee blew the final whistle, Vimioso FC could leave the field as winners, despite Videira having more of the ball for most of the match.
