After 14 minutes, Fábio Ramos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Luzio FC and the Curvaceira FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cristiano Silva ran back to his position shaking his head. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gustavo Leal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Luzio FC's Rui Carneiro got control of the ball when José Nogueira tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 58th minute Mário Henriques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquim Macedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
