The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when António Luz made the kick off in the second half. Paulo Faro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Paulo Faro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If António Luz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 68 minutes, Luís Gaspar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sarriao FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Gaspar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lúcio Fonseca during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Lúcio Fonseca hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Paulo Faro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Heitor Delgado having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Andorinho's Albertino Nunes got a free kick in the 73rd minute. The audience was convinced that Luís Gaspar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Heitor Delgado was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Sarriao FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
