Francisco Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Moura, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 43rd minute, SC Cansino's David Araújo seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed David Araújo the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of SC Cansino protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and David Araújo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in SC Cansino fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 43rd minute. Penalty! In the 46th minute there was a penalty for Porcelhe. Fábio Fernandes stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Abel Faro. 0-1. The SC Cansino players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Porcelhe were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nuno Ferreira was the one to do the kick off. Francisco Costa came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by SC Cansino's Joaquim Branco. But to his dismay, Joaquim Branco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Alexandre Torres's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Francisco Costa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Marco Carneiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Francisco Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 93 minutes, Marco Carneiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Cansino and the Porcelhe players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, SC Cansino's Marco Carneiro got a free kick in the 93rd minute. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the SC Cansino players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
