Bento Pedroso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nuno Moura in the 8th minute of play forced SC Marmelar's goalkeeper Rodrigo Moura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nuno Moura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luís Moura's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bento Pedroso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Bento Pedroso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bento Coimbra in the 28th minute of the match. Simão Matos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th minute, Nuno Moura ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rodrigo Moura was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The SC Marmelar players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sardoeira FC were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bento Coimbra to make the kick off. The supporters of SC Marmelar booed when Sardoeira FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afonso Cruz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bento Coimbra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 63 minutes into the match, SC Marmelar's goalkeeper Rodrigo Moura had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Simão Matos. The audience thought a goal was coming when Simão Matos got free with Rodrigo Moura in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bento Pedroso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bento Coimbra's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. SC Marmelar's Rodrigo Moura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nuno Moura in the 69th minute of play. Bento Coimbra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Bento Pedroso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sardoeira FC's Simão Matos got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 80th minute, Bento Coimbra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lúcio Fernandes during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Lúcio Fernandes hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Luís Moura's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bento Pedroso was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. The Sardoeira FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
