In the 10th minute of the match Vítor Morais sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ricardo Veiga skillfully saved the ball. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Francilheira's goalkeeper Gustavo Trindade, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fábio Almeida in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gustavo Trindade saved Francilheira from getting behind. Fábio Almeida recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gustavo Trindade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fábio Almeida in the 32nd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bruno Brás got free with Ricardo Veiga in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cotinho FC's Ricardo Veiga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristiano Assis in the 35th minute of play. In the 37th minute, Bruno Brás got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carlos Andrade succeeded in the game's 39th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. 43 minutes into the match, Francilheira's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Andrade came free, but Gustavo Trindade reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bruno Brás received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Ricardo Veiga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

56 minutes into the game, Filipe Anjos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cotinho FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Francilheira the free kick. When Cristiano Assis came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Francilheira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristiano Assis couldn't finish the play. 58 minutes into the match, Francilheira's Bruno Brás sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ricardo Veiga narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 61 minutes into the game, Cristiano Assis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Ricardo Veiga was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 64 minutes into the game, Vítor Morais was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Francilheira's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cotinho FC the free kick. Vítor Morais kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Gustavo Trindade took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquim Pinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gustavo Trindade showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fábio Almeida, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. The supporters of Cotinho FC booed when Francilheira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rui Faro didn't get a good kick on the ball. 73 minutes into the match, Bruno Brás notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Cotinho FC's Ricardo Veiga. Ricardo Veiga was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristiano Assis in the 90th minute of play forced Cotinho FC's goalkeeper Ricardo Veiga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Bruno Brás had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Francilheira fully deserved thier win.
