In the 17th match minute, Rana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Setúbal to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 18 minutes, Vítor Trindade managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Candeiro FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vítor Trindade was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Delfim Moura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Inácio Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Candeiro FC's zone, Domingos Dias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Inácio Castro came out of the goal and Domingos Dias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eusébio Anjos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joaquim Barros hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Inácio Castro made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Domingos Dias sent off a good shot on target. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Candeiro FC's Inácio Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Delfim Moura in the 73rd minute of play. Domingos Dias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77th minute Domingos Dias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inácio Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joaquim Barros during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee showed Gil Cruz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Candeiro FC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Gil Cruz hit a great ball. Rana's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
