André Rocha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Antunes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emílio Trindade made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Afonso Costa sent off a good shot on target. Afonso Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emílio Trindade having to interfere. Afonso Costa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Emílio Trindade made a huge save. The supporters of Lisbon FC booed when Formela FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filipe Bessa didn't get a good kick on the ball. The wind increased when Afonso Matos made the kick off in the second half. Carlos Antunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Lisbon FC's zone, Afonso Matos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emílio Trindade came out of the goal and Afonso Matos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Antunes in the 84th minute of play forced Formela FC's goalkeeper André Rocha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Afonso Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Afonso Matos in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emílio Trindade saved Lisbon FC from getting behind. 96 minutes had been played when some careless play by Formela FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Carlos Trindade was slow to take the kick. During this time Lisbon FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Lisbon FC's Carlos Trindade to fire away a dangerous shot which André Rocha despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Formela FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
