Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Carlos Gonçalves started the match with the kick off. After 7 minutes, Afonso Garcia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Marcoes and the Asagaes players grew even worse after the yellow card. Afonso Garcia hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Miguel Soares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Campos, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 10th minute Carlos Gonçalves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Soares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of SC Marcoes booed when Asagaes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afonso Ramos didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Gonçalves in the 12th minute of play forced Asagaes's goalkeeper Miguel Soares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Brás sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, SC Marcoes's Adolfo Simões got a free kick in the 16th minute. The SC Marcoes fans' excitement grew in the 19th match minute when SC Marcoes's Carlos Gonçalves looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 23rd minute Carlos Gonçalves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Soares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Asagaes's Miguel Soares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Gonçalves in the 24th minute of play. In the 26th minute SC Marcoes were awarded a corner. Joaquim Resende went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led SC Marcoes's Joaquim Resende to fire away a dangerous shot which Miguel Soares despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 28th minute Pedro Brás shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Brás fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Almeida having to interfere. Carlos Gonçalves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Soares having to interfere. After 34 played minutes Asagaes got a freekick which was hit by Afonso Ramos. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Campos in the 37th minute of play forced Asagaes's goalkeeper Miguel Soares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Brás sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in SC Marcoes's zone, Américo Ferreira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Francisco Almeida came out of the goal and Américo Ferreira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Miguel Soares came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by SC Marcoes's Adolfo Simões. But to his dismay, Adolfo Simões quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 55th minute, Américo Ferreira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Asagaes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Paulo Campos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Soares having to interfere. Francisco Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Américo Ferreira in the 65th minute of play. With his leg Miguel Soares managed to avoid a goal in the 66thth minute, when SC Marcoes's Carlos Gonçalves fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Américo Ferreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Francisco Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Brás in the 75th minute of play forced SC Marcoes's goalkeeper Francisco Almeida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
