Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Balde's João Carvalho got a free kick in the 6th minute. A collision led to Balde getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Alfredo Pinho hit a great ball. After having played for 11 minutes, Catarino Ribeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sinagoga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Catarino Ribeiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pedro Vieira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vicente Silva went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 20th minute, Rafael Torres had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by João Carvalho during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 21st match minute, Balde was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Carvalho to maneuver through the defense. If Catarino Ribeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Balde's Daniel Resende got control of the ball when Catarino Ribeiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gonçalo Leal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Pedro Vieira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 31st minute, Vicente Silva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 33 minutes into the match, Balde's goalkeeper Daniel Resende had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Catarino Ribeiro. Simão Fernandes kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Catarino Ribeiro was the one to do the kick off. Francisco Ribeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Catarino Ribeiro in the 56th minute of play forced Balde's goalkeeper Daniel Resende to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gonçalo Leal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Pedro Vieira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 64 minutes into the match, Catarino Ribeiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Daniel Resende. Balde's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Catarino Ribeiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Simão Fernandes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Vieira having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Catarino Ribeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sinagoga's supporters rose to their feet, but Catarino Ribeiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Daniel Resende breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 75th minute Catarino Ribeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Resende saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Vieira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gonçalo Leal in the 78th minute. Daniel Resende made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Catarino Ribeiro in the 86th minute of play. Catarino Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vicente Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Vieira having to interfere. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
