The referee showed Luís Freitas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Figueirinha FC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Luís Freitas hit a great ball. Lucas Araújo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. SC Grijo's Manuel Silva got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emanuel Resende showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucas Araújo in the 12th minute of the match. Lucas Araújo scored 0-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emanuel Resende, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Veiga in the 22nd minute of play forced SC Grijo's goalkeeper Cláudio Nascimento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luís Veiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emanuel Resende showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Silva in the 26th minute of the match. In the 30th minute, Vítor Leiria made a precise shot to the right of Emanuel Resende. Figueirinha FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. The supporters of SC Grijo booed when Figueirinha FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Freitas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, SC Grijo's Augusto Porto tried to score from far away in the 33rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. José Pinto might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cláudio Nascimento. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. José Pinto ran back to his position shaking his head. SC Grijo's Cláudio Nascimento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Veiga in the 42nd minute of play. Carlos Delgado succeeded in the game's 44th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-2. Emanuel Resende came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Grijo's Lucas Araújo. But to his dismay, Lucas Araújo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Manuel Silva stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ricardo Nunes's late challenge caught a Figueirinha FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ricardo Nunes helped the player get up and apologised. Ricardo Nunes kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gabriel Moura during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Luís Veiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Cláudio Nascimento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cláudio Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Veiga in the 77th minute of play. Luís Veiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cláudio Nascimento having to interfere. Cláudio Nascimento stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlos Delgado's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. Carlos Delgado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 85th minute, Luís Veiga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cláudio Nascimento was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. A collision led to SC Grijo getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Vítor Leiria hit a great ball. Lucas Araújo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched SC Grijo eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
