Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jacinto Sousa started the match with the kick off. Montemuro FC's Francisco Araújo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Montemuro FC from getting a goal against them. Jacinto Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. António Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Araújo having to interfere. In the 10th minute Jacinto Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Araújo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the game, Júlio Vieira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Fafiao's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Montemuro FC the free kick. In the 18th minute, Júlio Vieira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 19th minute, Pedro Lopes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 21 minutes into the game, Montemuro FC's Pedro Anjos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gabriel Faro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After a rather tough play, Montemuro FC's David Trindade got a free kick in the 24th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Anjos in the 28th minute of play forced SC Fafiao's goalkeeper Gabriel Faro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Marco Reis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 43 minutes, Lúcio Macedo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Fafiao and the Montemuro FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lúcio Macedo hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Jacinto Sousa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Francisco Araújo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

53 minutes into the match, SC Fafiao's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Anjos came free, but Gabriel Faro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Montemuro FC's Pedro Lopes got a free kick in the 54th minute. Júlio Vieira hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. In the 57th minute, Manuel Antunes sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and SC Fafiao's Gabriel Faro didn't even have to move. Gabriel Faro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Anjos, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Pedro Anjos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Faro having to interfere. António Ferreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Francisco Araújo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Montemuro FC's goalkeeper Francisco Araújo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Álvaro Correia charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Álvaro Correia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 70th minute, Álvaro Correia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Afonso Antunes, 71 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. António Ferreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Francisco Araújo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 74th minute, Eduardo Neves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. António Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Araújo having to interfere. Pedro Anjos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. António Ferreira struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Francisco Araújo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Fafiao. If António Ferreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute, Lúcio Macedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Montemuro FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
