The referee ignored Pomarinho's protests and gave Américo Neto a yellow card for diving instead. Américo Neto kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. If Paulo Correia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sandro Nunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Gueifão in the 13th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Hugo Fonseca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sandro Nunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucas Brás, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Lucas Brás managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pomarinho's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucas Brás was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sandro Nunes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Paulo Correia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artur Brás having to interfere. In the 33rdth minute of the game Lucas Brás who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Nozelos's Sandro Nunes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 36 minutes into the match, SC Nozelos's Fernando Lima sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Artur Brás narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in SC Nozelos's zone, Lucas Brás stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sandro Nunes came out of the goal and Lucas Brás tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fernando Lima scored 2-0 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Artur Brás, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With an all-out effort, SC Nozelos's Artur Brás threw himself towards the right post 45 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Paulo Correia, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.
