Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Vicente Nunes made the kick off and thus started the match. Júlio Freitas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adolfo Leal in the 3rd minute of play. In the 3rd minute, Eduardo Mota hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 7 minutes, Adolfo Leal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Montesouros's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adolfo Leal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 9 minutes into the match, Adolfo Leal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Júlio Freitas. Reigada's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adolfo Leal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 12th match minute, Montesouros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Moutinho to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Amaral in the 15th minute of play forced Reigada's goalkeeper Júlio Freitas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 23 played minutes Reigada got a freekick which was hit by Simão Leal. 28 minutes into the match, Reigada's goal looked a bit too open when Afonso Nascimento came free, but Júlio Freitas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jorge Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Júlio Freitas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Amaral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Reigada's Júlio Freitas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Silva in the 58th minute of play. After some careless play in the Reigada defense, Jorge Amaral kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Júlio Freitas. The Reigada fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Júlio Freitas should have stopped the shot. The Montesouros supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Montesouros would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
