An unexpectedly hard shot by António Setúbal in the 27th minute of play forced Corujeiro FC's goalkeeper Emanuel Mendes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emanuel Mendes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from António Setúbal in the 30th minute of play. Corujeiro FC's Emanuel Mendes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by António Setúbal in the 33rd minute of play. Carlos Antunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Maia having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Vasco Esteves had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emanuel Mendes. Corujeiro FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vasco Esteves was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Vasco Esteves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Mendes having to interfere. After 46 minutes, Manuel Vale mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Corujeiro FC and the Alcaravela players grew even worse after the yellow card. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and António Setúbal made a kick off. In the 53rd minute Cristiano Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Maia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Alcaravela booed when Corujeiro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mariano Abreu didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Afonso Baptista's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ricardo Maia was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. Carlos Antunes succeeded in the game's 59th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. Emanuel Mendes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Alcaravela's zone, Carlos Antunes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Maia came out of the goal and Carlos Antunes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Carlos Antunes fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Corujeiro FC's protests and gave Carlos Antunes a yellow card for diving instead. In the 92nd minute, Carlos Antunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling António Setúbal in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emanuel Mendes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 95 minutes into the match, Alcaravela's António Setúbal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emanuel Mendes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Vasco Esteves was extremely unlucky when he, in the 96th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Corujeiro FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Alcaravela for a fine match.
