After having played for 4 minutes, Raul Ramos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Dume's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raul Ramos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 8 minutes, Heitor Faria mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Dume and the SC Borralha players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rui Garcia was out of position in the 13 minute of play, and Cândido Coelho capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cândido Coelho really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Afonso Delgado kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, SC Borralha's Afonso Delgado got a free kick in the 16th minute. SC Dume's Rui Garcia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristiano Faria in the 20th minute of play. If Cândido Coelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SC Borralha's Cristiano Faria got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Alberto Cardoso fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Borralha's protests and gave Alberto Cardoso a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 39th minute of the game. One of SC Borralha:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SC Dume:s goal. Raul Ramos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ricardo Paredes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Resende having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cristiano Faria was the one to do the kick off. Paulo Resende made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Raul Ramos sent off a good shot on target.
