Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) SC Borralha's Cristiano Faria started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cândido Coelho charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cândido Coelho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cândido Coelho hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Miguel Fontes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 10 minutes into the match, SC Borralha's Cândido Coelho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rui Freitas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. SC Borralha's Paulo Resende played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Fontes in the 15th minute of play. Cândido Coelho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 28 minutes into the game, one of SC Zoio:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Rui Freitas, was totally fooled by SC Borralha's João Assunção, who 29 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. SC Borralha's Paulo Resende played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Fontes in the 36th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, SC Zoio's goal looked a bit too open when Cristiano Faria came free, but Rui Freitas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in SC Zoio's zone, Cândido Coelho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rui Freitas came out of the goal and Cândido Coelho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Paulo Resende made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Fontes in the 45th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Miguel Fontes managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Zoio's supporters rose to their feet, but Miguel Fontes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulo Resende breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Miguel Fontes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rui Freitas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Faria in the 54th minute of play. In the 55th minute of the match António Castro sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rui Freitas skillfully saved the ball. 57 minutes into the match, SC Zoio's goal looked a bit too open when Cândido Coelho came free, but Rui Freitas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Cristiano Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cândido Coelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rui Freitas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristiano Faria in the 62nd minute of the match. When Cândido Coelho came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the SC Borralha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cândido Coelho couldn't finish the play. 67 minutes into the game, SC Borralha's Cristiano Faria nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rui Freitas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Rui Freitas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cândido Coelho went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. 82 minutes into the match, SC Zoio's goal looked a bit too open when Cristiano Faria came free, but Rui Freitas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cândido Coelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Rui Freitas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristiano Faria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Cristiano Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SC Borralha fans cheered their team off the field, for while SC Zoio had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
