Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Basílio Henriques started the match with the kick off. Bruno Leite showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basílio Henriques, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. In the 9th minute, Emanuel Soares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 11 played minutes Salvada got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Soares. After 13 played minutes Briteiros got a freekick which was hit by Álvaro Nogueira. 15 minutes into the match, Briteiros's goalkeeper André Trindade had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Manuel Campos. When Emanuel Soares fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Salvada's protests and gave Emanuel Soares a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Salvada's Emanuel Soares got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 17th minute of the match Álvaro Nogueira shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bruno Leite showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Viriato Leão's late challenge caught a Briteiros's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Viriato Leão helped the player get up and apologised. José Borba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Bruno Leite tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Salvada's Bruno Fernandes got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cristóvão Barbosa took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bruno Leite. Salvada's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Basílio Henriques took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bruno Leite. Bruno Leite dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Bruno Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Borba recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 40 played minutes Salvada got a freekick which was hit by Artur Teixeira.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bruno Fernandes made a kick off. Manuel Campos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. André Trindade tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manuel Campos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Trindade having to interfere. Manuel Campos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Briteiros getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Simão Delgado hit a great ball. Bruno Fernandes struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. André Trindade didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Salvada. In the 82ndth minute of the game Bruno Fernandes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Briteiros's André Trindade was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 84thth minute of the game Basílio Henriques who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Salvada's Bruno Leite was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Salvada's goalkeeper Bruno Leite, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. André Trindade showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Campos, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Henrique Moura hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. With his leg Bruno Leite managed to avoid a goal in the 95thth minute, when Briteiros's José Borba fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 96th minute Bruno Fernandes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Trindade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Briteiros supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Briteiros would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
