Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Augusto Sousa made the kick off and thus started the match. When Sebastião Brás came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the SC Cancela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebastião Brás couldn't finish the play. SC Cancela's Augusto Sousa got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Fornea's Joaquim Fernandes got a free kick in the 15th minute. Gil Alves, 16 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Afonso Vaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fornea's Rui Cunha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Fornea from getting a goal against them. After 33 played minutes Fornea got a freekick which was hit by Cláudio Nunes. If Sebastião Brás had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fornea's Rui Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Sousa in the 41st minute of play. Miguel Neves hit a great freekick 49 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gil Alves in the 50th minute of play forced Fornea's goalkeeper Rui Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Afonso Vaz to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, SC Cancela's Paulo Porto got a free kick in the 54th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abel Brito during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Abel Brito hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Afonso Vaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. João Assis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gaspar Leão kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. In the 63rd match minute Daniel Leão ran free in the middle of the field and shot a long shot which scored behind a totally surprised João Assis. 1-1. After 67 minutes, Artur Pereira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fornea and the SC Cancela players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Fornea getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Artur Pereira hit a great ball. In the 71st minute, Américo Pacheco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cláudio Nunes during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 77th minute SC Cancela were awarded a corner. Gil Alves went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Gil Alves got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rui Cunha quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Sebastião Brás had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by André Baptista during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 88 played minutes SC Cancela got a freekick which was hit by André Baptista. Rui Cunha came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Cancela's Paulo Porto. But to his dismay, Paulo Porto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1.
