Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Amadeu Anjos started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. With an all-out effort, Reis's Gonçalo Abreu threw himself towards the right post 4 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Vítor Vieira, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 4 minutes into the match, Vítor Vieira notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Penela's Gonçalo Abreu. Gonçalo Abreu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gonçalo Abreu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vítor Vieira, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. When Rui Valente came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Reis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rui Valente couldn't finish the play. Penela's Gonçalo Abreu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Penela from getting a goal against them. If Rui Valente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 36 played minutes Reis got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Gueifão. Abel Pinho, 37 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Álvaro Anjos during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 38th match minute, Reis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Álvaro Anjos to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Reis's José Borges got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Amadeu Anjos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vítor Vieira to make the kick off. In the 62nd minute, André Fonseca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Alberto Nascimento came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Penela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Nascimento couldn't finish the play. In the 64th match minute, Reis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Álvaro Anjos to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice moves Alberto Nascimento could shoot a difficult shot in the 65th minute, which Manuel Nunes however easily saved by the left post. The supporters of Penela booed when Reis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vítor Vieira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rui Valente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gonçalo Abreu having to interfere. After 71 minutes, António Sá mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Penela and the Reis players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 72 played minutes Penela got a freekick which was hit by António Sá. Gonçalo Abreu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rui Valente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abel Pinho kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Reis's José Borges couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 78th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Penela. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Penela's Amadeu Anjos in the 80th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Manuel Nunes was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Reis through an amazing save. Alberto Nascimento recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gonçalo Abreu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rui Valente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
