Catarino Moniz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Garcia having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Catarino Moniz in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Júlio Garcia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Artur Matos came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the SC Gontaes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Artur Matos couldn't finish the play. Emílio Abreu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heitor Ribeiro in the 91st minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. SC Gontaes walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
