Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) When the match had gone on for 3 minutes, Paulo Tavares took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Vítor Fontes to make any attempt to save it. Vítor Fontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Tavares, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. 10 minutes into the match, Bento Pinho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vítor Henriques. Assumar's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bento Pinho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The audience was convinced that Luís Leiria's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vítor Henriques was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. If Luís Leiria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th minute Paulo Tavares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vítor Fontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Paulo Tavares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vítor Domingues hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. SC Palhava's Vítor Fontes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save SC Palhava from getting a goal against them. Vítor Fontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Tavares in the 38th minute of play. The supporters of Assumar booed when SC Palhava was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Guerreiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. 46 minutes into the match, Assumar's Vicente Esteves broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paulo Tavares made a kick off. Luís Leiria recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the SC Palhava defense, Paulo Tavares kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vítor Fontes. The SC Palhava fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vítor Fontes should have stopped the shot. Paulo Tavares's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vítor Fontes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. If Luís Leiria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Afonso Matias fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Assumar's protests and gave Afonso Matias a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Assumar getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Afonso Matias hit a great ball. Vítor Henriques had great luck who in the 67thth minute grab hold of the ball when Luís Leiria from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. After 69 played minutes SC Palhava got a freekick which was hit by Filipe Leite. When Paulo Tavares came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Assumar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo Tavares couldn't finish the play. The SC Palhava fans' excitement grew in the 85th match minute when SC Palhava's Luís Leiria looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Pedro Viegas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Vítor Fontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vítor Henriques showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Leiria in the 94th minute of the match. If Paulo Tavares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
