Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Izei's Tomás Gaspar started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Filipe Amaral came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Izei fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filipe Amaral couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by André Moutinho during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 11 played minutes SC Cavaleira got a freekick which was hit by André Moutinho. 11 minutes into the match, Izei's Eusébio Lima broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 12th match minute, SC Cavaleira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diamantino Pinto to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the SC Cavaleira defense, Armando Porto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristiano Setúbal. The SC Cavaleira fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristiano Setúbal should have stopped the shot. 19 minutes into the game, SC Cavaleira's Nuno Ribeiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. António Machado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 28th minute Armando Porto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Setúbal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 31 played minutes Izei got a freekick which was hit by Vítor Moreira. In the 32nd minute, SC Cavaleira's Bruno Moutinho ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind António Machado. António Machado yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Tomás Gaspar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Cristiano Setúbal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomás Gaspar scored 2-2 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cristiano Setúbal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nuno Ribeiro succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-2 in the 47th playminute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bruno Moutinho was the one to do the kick off. When David Almeida fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Cavaleira's protests and gave David Almeida a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in SC Cavaleira fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 54th minute. Penalty! 3-3 came through a penalty shot after 57 played minutes, when Izei:s Eusébio Lima calmly waited for SC Cavaleira:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. Cristiano Setúbal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Gaspar in the 74th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Bruno Moutinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Cavaleira's supporters rose to their feet, but Bruno Moutinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. António Machado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Bruno Moutinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. António Machado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nuno Ribeiro in the 79th minute of play. After 80 played minutes Izei got a freekick which was hit by Filipe Amaral. Nuno Ribeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. António Machado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of SC Cavaleira booed when Izei was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filipe Amaral didn't get a good kick on the ball. Izei's António Machado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno Moutinho in the 85th minute of play. António Machado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nuno Ribeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Nuno Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristiano Setúbal was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tomás Gaspar showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-4 in the 98 minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Izei eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
