SC Taipadas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rafael Baptista was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After some careless play in the SC Taipadas defense, Miguel Valente kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alexandre Nunes. The SC Taipadas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alexandre Nunes should have stopped the shot. 11 minutes into the game, Vasco Gonçalves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tenencia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Taipadas the free kick. After a rather tough play, Tenencia's Vasco Gonçalves got a free kick in the 11th minute. Carlos Freitas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Carlos Freitas managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Taipadas's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Freitas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Albertino Magalhães breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Albertino Magalhães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Freitas in the 19th minute of the match. Lucas Gomes hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Albertino Magalhães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Freitas, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Américo Tavares could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Albertino Magalhães made a huge save. A collision led to Tenencia getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Francisco Moniz hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as SC Taipadas's Delfim Leão slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Albertino Magalhães. That made the score 2-2 after 34 minutes of play. Albertino Magalhães was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Carlos Freitas showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-2 in the 39 minute of play. If Carlos Freitas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Miguel Valente stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Albertino Magalhães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Américo Tavares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tenencia's Albertino Magalhães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Américo Tavares in the 59th minute of play. After 60 played minutes SC Taipadas got a freekick which was hit by Vicente Araújo. The supporters of Tenencia booed when SC Taipadas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simão Borba didn't get a good kick on the ball. Miguel Valente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alexandre Nunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Valente in the 68th minute of play. Lucas Gomes kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rafael Baptista got free with Alexandre Nunes in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlos Freitas in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Albertino Magalhães saved Tenencia from getting behind. After 82 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Tenencia! The referee gave SC Taipadas a penalty, 83 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Delfim Leão, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Tenencia's Albertino Magalhães. 4-2. 90 minutes in the game, Miguel Valente fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Alexandre Nunes having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Miguel Valente managed to get in a good position for a shot. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulo Cabral helped the player get up and apologised. Paulo Cabral hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Rafael Baptista struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Alexandre Nunes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tenencia. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SC Taipadas fans cheered their team off the field, for while Tenencia had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
