Jorge Fonseca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diamantino Ferro, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. If Alexandre Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mariano Cabral hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. In the 73rd minute Mariano Cabral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexandre Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. João Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ratoeira's João Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Cabral in the 86th minute of play. Ratoeira's Júlio Viana suffered a sprained foot after 88 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 88 minutes into the game, Rogério Nunes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Murganheira FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ratoeira the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 88th minute of the game. One of Murganheira FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ratoeira:s goal. The referee gave Ratoeira a penalty, 91 minutes into the game. Ratoeira's Diamantino Ferro got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Ratoeira had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
