Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Viriato Cabral took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 7 minutes, Xavier Araújo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Camarao and the Alvalade players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 7th match minute, Camarao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xavier Araújo to maneuver through the defense. In the 8th minute of the match José Miranda shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but David Matos showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Rogério Moreira in the 10thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Manuel Borba, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Viriato Cabral struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Manuel Borba didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Camarao. Alvalade's Manuel Borba proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Alvalade from getting a goal against them. Marco Aleixo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 24th match minute, Camarao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rogério Moreira to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Alvalade booed when Camarao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rogério Moreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alvalade's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by José Miranda in the 37th minute. Alvalade's Artur Melo pulled a muscle in his leg after 40 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Delfim Valente fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Camarao's protests and gave Delfim Valente a yellow card for diving instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cláudio Queirós stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viriato Cabral in the 54th minute of play forced Alvalade's goalkeeper Manuel Borba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Viriato Cabral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Manuel Borba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Viriato Cabral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Rogério Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Miranda hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Viriato Cabral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marco Aleixo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but David Matos made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cláudio Queirós got free with David Matos in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alvalade's Manuel Borba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogério Moreira in the 80th minute of play. Viriato Cabral's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manuel Borba read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. Alvalade's Adelino Pires shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 87th minute of play. The shot was stopped by David Matos but with some difficulty. After some careless play in the Alvalade defense, Rogério Moreira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Manuel Borba. The Alvalade fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Manuel Borba should have stopped the shot. Delfim Valente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Manuel Borba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alvalade's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
