Óscar Carvalho took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carlos Castro. Carlos Castro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Pedro Gonçalves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Carlos Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 28 played minutes Painzela FC got a freekick which was hit by Adolfo Rodrigues. In the 30th minute, Pedro Gonçalves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 35 minutes, Adolfo Rodrigues mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Painzela FC and the Fontelo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Fontelo FC's Joaquim Coimbra in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luís Lima made a kick off. The supporters of Fontelo FC booed when Painzela FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Assunção didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Oliveira Matos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fontelo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Oliveira Matos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricardo Henriques breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luís Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Lourenço Faria hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rodrigo Barros in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlos Castro saved Fontelo FC from getting behind. In the 74th minute, Rodrigo Barros ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carlos Castro was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Joaquim Coimbra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Ricardo Henriques made a huge save. Carlos Castro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Gonçalves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
