After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Rui Rodrigues managed to get in a good position for a shot. Perlinha's supporters rose to their feet, but Rui Rodrigues was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulo Teixeira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rogério Amorim charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rogério Amorim the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rogério Amorim hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Catarino Bessa struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Alexandre Campos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Azurara FC. Pedro Pacheco shot the penalty kick right outside the post. In the 43rd minute Catarino Bessa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandre Campos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 44th match minute, Perlinha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Cruz to maneuver through the defense. 48 minutes into the game, Daniel Freitas recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Paulo Teixeira. Daniel Freitas showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Freitas made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Perlinha's zone, Catarino Bessa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexandre Campos came out of the goal and Catarino Bessa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Perlinha's Alexandre Campos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Perlinha from getting a goal against them. Paulo Teixeira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Freitas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paulo Teixeira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rui Rodrigues, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute.
