Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Sebastião Marques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Óscar Antunes in the 4th minute of play. In the 10th minute of the match João Rodrigues shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lourenço Alves showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 19th minute, Cláudio Fernandes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lourenço Alves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cláudio Fernandes in the 26th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Gustavo Moura kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Lourenço Alves. That made the score 1-0 in the 31 minute of play. SC Verdelho's Lourenço Alves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cláudio Fernandes in the 36th minute of play. Lourenço Alves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cláudio Fernandes, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Catarino Torres hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. If Gustavo Moura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gustavo Mouras short, quick shot in the 50thth minute got Lourenço Alves to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cláudio Fernandes made a kick off. Gustavo Moura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lourenço Alves having to interfere. When Óscar Antunes came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the SC Verdelho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Óscar Antunes couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Gustavo Moura's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lourenço Alves was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Cláudio Fernandes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In a very dangerous position, a player in SC Verdelho fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 88th minute. Penalty! In the 90th minute there was a penalty for Lajes. Vítor Baptista stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Lourenço Alves. 2-0. SC Verdelho's Lourenço Alves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustavo Moura in the 97th minute of play. 98 minutes into the game, Lajes's Filipe Moutinho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lourenço Alves made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. When the referee ended the match the Lajes players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
