The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Chaos FC's Adelino Nascimento got a free kick in the 8th minute. Luís Brito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Heitor Andrade in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alexandre Tavares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Paulo Araújo hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Alexandre Tavares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Heitor Andrade, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Marco Valente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Daniel Pinto during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Marco Valente got in the 20th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Emílio Melo handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Thanks to some nice moves Simão Figueiredo could shoot a difficult shot in the 21st minute, which Emílio Melo however easily saved by the left post. After 23 minutes, Augusto Cabral mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cabecao FC and the Chaos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Luís Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cabecao FC's Emílio Melo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Cabecao FC from getting a goal against them. 32 minutes into the match, Cabecao FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Valente came free, but Emílio Melo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chaos FC's Alexandre Tavares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heitor Andrade in the 34th minute of play. Marco Valente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Emílio Melo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 44 minutes in the game, Marco Valente fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Emílio Melo having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Heitor Andrade made a kick off. If Simão Figueiredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Cabecao FC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. João Guarda hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Pinto in the 60th minute of play forced Cabecao FC's goalkeeper Emílio Melo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adolfo Barbosa kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. If Luís Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 64th minute, Mário Nascimento had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Chaos FC's Daniel Pinto got his second yellow card of the match in the 64th minute. The referee ordered Daniel Pinto off the ground. Alexandre Tavares was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Luís Brito showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 67 minute of play. Chaos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vítor Teixeira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emílio Melo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Cabecao FC's zone, Simão Figueiredo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat.
