Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jacinto Nunes took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 14th minute Jacinto Nunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diamantino Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Macinhata FC's goalkeeper Daniel Neto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eusébio Trindade. Eusébio Trindade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Neto having to interfere. After 21 minutes, Alberto Castro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Macinhata FC and the Freixial players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Macinhata FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Alberto Castro hit a great ball. Macinhata FC's Daniel Neto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Dias in the 23rd minute of play. After 23 played minutes Macinhata FC got a freekick which was hit by Inácio Esteves. Eusébio Trindade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. João Dias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Alberto Castro was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 29 minutes had been played. João Dias's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Daniel Neto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. After 36 minutes, Inácio Esteves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Macinhata FC and the Freixial players grew even worse after the yellow card. Inácio Esteves kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. The referee gave Macinhata FC a penalty, 41 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jorge Sousa, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Freixial's Diamantino Barros. 0-1. In the 44th minute, João Dias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After 51 minutes, Sérgio Pedroso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Macinhata FC and the Freixial players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sérgio Pedroso hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. In the 58th minute, Luís Leiria left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Freixial fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Freixial's Eusébio Trindade got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If João Dias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Inácio Machado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Macinhata FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Inácio Machado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Diamantino Barros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Daniel Neto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusébio Trindade in the 72nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Dias in the 73rd minute of play forced Macinhata FC's goalkeeper Daniel Neto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If João Dias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Inácio Machado who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 77thth minute tested the skills of Diamantino Barros when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Macinhata FC's José Rocha got a free kick in the 80th minute. After 83 played minutes Macinhata FC got a freekick which was hit by Jacinto Nunes. 84 minutes into the game, Freixial's João Dias nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Daniel Neto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Inácio Machado succeeded in the game's 92nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-2. Freixial's Diamantino Barros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save Freixial from getting a goal against them. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
