Diamantino Barros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rui Aleixo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 5 minutes, Rui Aleixo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Campea's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rui Aleixo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 8 minutes into the game, one of SC Campea:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Hélder Nascimento didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Delfim Viana went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Afonso Paiva hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Mariano Gomes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diamantino Barros having to interfere. Eusébio Trindade might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hélder Nascimento. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eusébio Trindade ran back to his position shaking his head. 25 minutes into the match, SC Campea's Cláudio Barros sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Diamantino Barros narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cláudio Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diamantino Barros having to interfere. Mariano Gomes struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Diamantino Barros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Campea. Hélder Nascimento was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 38 minutes into the match, Freixial's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Gomes came free, but Diamantino Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. João Dias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Hélder Nascimento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when João Dias stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, SC Campea's Bruno Ramos got a free kick in the 51st minute. Hélder Nascimento stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eusébio Trindade's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Mariano Gomes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diamantino Barros having to interfere. When Afonso Paiva fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Freixial's protests and gave Afonso Paiva a yellow card for diving instead. José Neto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luís Leiria charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luís Leiria the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Luís Leiria kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. A collision led to Freixial getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Gustavo Morais hit a great ball. Mariano Gomes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mariano Gomes's late challenge caught a Freixial's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mariano Gomes helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Freixial booed when SC Campea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mariano Gomes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Diamantino Barros made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Mariano Gomes sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling João Dias in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hélder Nascimento prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Freixial's João Dias got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Freixial were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of SC Campea for a fine match.
