Amares FC's Francisco Martins got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mário Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Martins in the 20th minute of play. SC Luso's Mário Fonseca proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save SC Luso from getting a goal against them. Alexandre Esteves kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. After having played for 24 minutes, Francisco Martins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Amares FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francisco Martins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Francisco Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francisco Baptista got in the 28th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Mário Fonseca handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Amares FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
