Jorge Araújo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogério Assis having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jacinto Leite in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lúcio Ferro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to SC Dorna getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Bento Borba hit a great ball. With a little luck, SC Dorna's Rogério Assis got control of the ball when Pedro Machado tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lúcio Ferro didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when SC Dorna's Jacinto Leite shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-2 in the ordered_time% minute. If Jacinto Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jorge Araújo was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 28th minute. Amial's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Pedro Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Amial booed when SC Dorna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bento Borba didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jacinto Leite made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, SC Dorna's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Machado came free, but Rogério Assis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Jorge Araújo put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Rogério Assis. In the 58th minute Pedro Machado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogério Assis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Pedro Machado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Amial's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Machado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rogério Assis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 68 played minutes Amial got a freekick which was hit by Gonçalo Oliveira. Lúcio Ferro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacinto Leite in the 72nd minute of the match. Pedro Martins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amial's Lúcio Ferro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Amial from getting a goal against them. Pedro Martins's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lúcio Ferro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. 87 minutes into the game, Jorge Araújo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Rogério Assis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rogério Assis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Machado in the 90th minute of play. When Jorge Araújo came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Amial fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jorge Araújo couldn't finish the play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
