After a rather tough play, SC Dorna's Inácio Abreu got a free kick in the 19th minute. When Daniel Lopes fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Luso's protests and gave Daniel Lopes a yellow card for diving instead. Daniel Lopes hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Amílcar Miranda charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The audience was convinced that Jacinto Leite's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mário Fonseca was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Diogo Faria got free with Rogério Assis in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as SC Luso's Inácio Figueiredo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rogério Assis. That made the score 2-2 after 56 minutes of play. 61 minutes into the game, SC Dorna's Pedro Martins nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mário Fonseca made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. SC Luso's Amílcar Miranda got his second yellow card of the match in the 65th minute. It was a penalty for SC Dorna! The goalkeeper, Rogério Assis, was totally fooled by SC Luso's Cristiano Santos, who 93 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jacinto Leite during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 97th minute, Jacinto Leite hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
