Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Amial's Jorge Araújo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute, Pedro Machado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Francisco Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francisco Martins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Lúcio Ferro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 15th match minute, Amares FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Afonso Setúbal to maneuver through the defense. Amial's Jorge Araújo got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jorge Araújo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Amares FC's zone, Joaquim Matias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquim Correia came out of the goal and Joaquim Matias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 23rd minute, Alberto Moutinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Francisco Martins, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 29 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Lúcio Ferro was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Francisco Baptista hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. 41 minutes had been played when some careless play by Amial's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Afonso Setúbal was slow to take the kick. During this time Amares FC's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Américo Amaral managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After 47 minutes, Luís Pinheiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Amares FC and the Amial players grew even worse after the yellow card. Luís Pinheiro hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Francisco Martins made a kick off. Lúcio Ferro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Francisco Baptista went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Jorge Araújo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luís Pinheiro got his second yellow card in the match during the 71st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 72nd minute of the match João Leite sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joaquim Correia skillfully saved the ball. 74 minutes into the match, Amares FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Araújo came free, but Joaquim Correia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 76th minute, Jorge Araújo fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Joaquim Correia, passed just outside the right post. If Jorge Araújo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jorge Araújo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquim Correia having to interfere. Lúcio Ferro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Américo Amaral, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Jorge Araújo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Catarino Dantas hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. Jorge Araújo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 99th minute. Joaquim Correia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
