Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Fernando Vieira made the kick off and thus started the match. 6 minutes into the game, Marco Santarém was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Setubal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Souroes the free kick. In the 6th match minute, Setubal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Santarém to maneuver through the defense. 10 minutes into the match, SC Souroes's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Vieira came free, but Jaime Esteves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Joaquim Matos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 17th minute Hélder Pinto suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. Jaime Esteves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquim Matos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jaime Esteves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquim Matos in the 21st minute of play. Joaquim Matos might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jaime Esteves. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joaquim Matos ran back to his position shaking his head. Jaime Esteves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquim Matos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Emanuel Moreira was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 27 minutes had been played. In the 27th minute, Emanuel Moreira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jaime Esteves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Matos, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. After 32 played minutes SC Souroes got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Pires. Eduardo Garcia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Catarino Almeida went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. When Albertino Paredes came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the SC Souroes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albertino Paredes couldn't finish the play. Joaquim Matos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jaime Esteves having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Catarino Almeida stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joaquim Matos got free with Jaime Esteves in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gonçalo Valente might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eduardo Garcia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gonçalo Valente ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Catarino Almeida in the 55th minute of play forced Setubal's goalkeeper Eduardo Garcia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Fernando Vieira came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Setubal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernando Vieira couldn't finish the play. In the 66th minute, Delfim Simões hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Catarino Almeida's late challenge caught a Setubal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Catarino Almeida helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, SC Souroes's Catarino Almeida got a free kick in the 69th minute. If Catarino Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, SC Souroes's Jaime Esteves got control of the ball when Fernando Vieira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Joaquim Matos took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jaime Esteves. Jaime Esteves dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The audience was convinced that Catarino Almeida's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eduardo Garcia was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. Joaquim Matos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Jaime Esteves made a huge save. The SC Souroes supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Setubal's performance. The match ended with a win for Setubal.
