Hugo Viegas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Hélder Simões managed to avoid a goal in the 8thth minute, when SC Baias's Lucas Machado fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mouguelas FC's goalkeeper Hélder Simões, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Américo Ribeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inácio Rocha in the 13th minute of play. Hélder Simões made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Viegas in the 14th minute of play. A collision led to Mouguelas FC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Rogério Mendes hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, SC Baias's Lucas Machado got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mouguelas FC's goalkeeper Hélder Simões, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hugo Viegas in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hélder Simões saved Mouguelas FC from getting behind. Francisco Lopes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Américo Ribeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inácio Rocha, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. When Inácio Rocha came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Mouguelas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Inácio Rocha couldn't finish the play. After 38 minutes, Tiago Vaz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Baias and the Mouguelas FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 37 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SC Baias! The referee gave Mouguelas FC a penalty, 40 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Mariano Leite, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of SC Baias's Américo Ribeiro. 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hugo Viegas to make the kick off. A hard shot 51 in the game by Rogério Mendes from a close distance when the talented Américo Ribeiro managed to make a qualified save. SC Baias's players were relieved. David Cruz hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. After having played for 55 minutes, Hugo Viegas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Baias's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hugo Viegas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hélder Simões stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lucas Machado's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rogério Mendes during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 58th match minute, Mouguelas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rogério Mendes to maneuver through the defense. Lucas Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Hélder Simões tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Francisco Lopes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mouguelas FC's Hélder Simões played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Viegas in the 67th minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, Mouguelas FC's Francisco Lopes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Américo Ribeiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 79th minute, Mouguelas FC's Inácio Rocha dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. Américo Ribeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Inácio Rocha in the 82nd minute of the match. Hélder Simões took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernando Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Francisco Lopes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Inácio Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Américo Ribeiro having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in SC Baias's zone, Inácio Rocha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Américo Ribeiro came out of the goal and Inácio Rocha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mouguelas FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
