In the 9th match minute, Paiois was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexandre Setúbal to maneuver through the defense. Alexandre Alves was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Miguel Mendes showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 17 minute of play. In the 21st match minute, Paiois was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexandre Setúbal to maneuver through the defense. Hélder Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oliveira Borba having to interfere. If Oliveira Ferreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexandre Setúbal's late challenge caught a SC Tejao's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alexandre Setúbal helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to SC Tejao getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. André Leão hit a great ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Miguel Mendes made the kick off in the second half. Oliveira Ferreira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Hélder Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute, Paiois's Cristiano Simões seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Cristiano Simões the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Paiois protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Cristiano Simões had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 59 minutes into the game, one of Paiois:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 61 minutes, SC Tejao's David Azevedo got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Oliveira Borba. 69 minutes into the game, SC Tejao's Hélder Andrade nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Oliveira Borba made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Alexandre Alves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Viegas in the 73rd minute of play. Heitor Viegas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alexandre Alves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eduardo Viegas in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alexandre Alves prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Oliveira Borba was a little too slow when Oliveira Ferreira got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 82nd minute. The score was now 1-4. A collision led to SC Tejao getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Emanuel Bessa hit a great ball. Oliveira Borba stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Oliveira Ferreira's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. Paiois's Eduardo Viegas got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Oliveira Ferreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oliveira Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oliveira Borba having to interfere. If Oliveira Ferreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. SC Tejao walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
