With a little luck, SC Regatos's Jorge Santos got control of the ball when Eusébio Pires tried to sneak it across the goal line. 7 minutes into the game, one of SC Regatos:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. SC Regatos:s Jorge Santos showed great skill when he stopped Manuel Martins:s penalty. 8 minutes into the game, Manuel Martins cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Jorge Santos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Diamantino Simões hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Gil Abreu hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. With his leg Jorge Santos managed to avoid a goal in the 19thth minute, when Trofa's Eusébio Pires fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Eusébio Pires struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Jorge Santos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Trofa. 22 minutes into the match, SC Regatos's goalkeeper Jorge Santos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eusébio Pires. The Trofa fans' excitement grew in the 24th match minute when Trofa's Joaquim Santarém looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Eusébio Pires blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jorge Santos having to make a save. Eusébio Pires fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Santos having to interfere. After 31 played minutes SC Regatos got a freekick which was hit by João Assis. If Jacinto Vieira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eusébio Pires fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Santos having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquim Santarém in the 43rd minute of play forced SC Regatos's goalkeeper Jorge Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joaquim Santarém received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Jorge Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 46 minutes, Joaquim Santarém managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Trofa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joaquim Santarém was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 50 minutes, Jorge Santos successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After 54 minutes, Abel Nogueira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Trofa and the SC Regatos players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 54th match minute, Trofa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Nogueira to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emanuel Cruz during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Emanuel Cruz hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Daniel Andrade made an important save on a dangerous shot by Armindo Alves in the 63rd minute. Joaquim Santarém's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jorge Santos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. In the 67th minute Eusébio Pires shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, SC Regatos's João Assis got a free kick in the 75th minute. Jorge Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Santarém in the 76th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the match, Trofa's goal looked a bit too open when Jacinto Vieira came free, but Daniel Andrade reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Jacinto Vieira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Daniel Andrade was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. If Armindo Alves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tiago Moura was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 97 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in SC Regatos fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 96th minute. Penalty! In the 99th minute there was a penalty for Trofa. Manuel Martins stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jorge Santos. 3-0.
