When Jorge Domingues fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ermidas FC's protests and gave Jorge Domingues a yellow card for diving instead. Jorge Domingues hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Cláudio Dias acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 28th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Diogo Santarém. Amadeu Bessa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inácio Abreu in the 33rd minute of play. Amadeu Bessa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vítor Sá in the 36th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Nascimento in the 38th minute of play forced Ermidas FC's goalkeeper Cláudio Dias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ermidas FC's zone, Bruno Nascimento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cláudio Dias came out of the goal and Bruno Nascimento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cláudio Dias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruno Nascimento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Vítor Sá had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ermidas FC's Cláudio Dias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno Nascimento in the 71st minute of play.
