When Adolfo Aguiar fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Brochas FC's protests and gave Adolfo Aguiar a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpected shot in the 6th minute by Jorge Cruz got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Alexandre Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Monchite's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexandre Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joel Ribeiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joel Ribeiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jorge Cruz's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. Brochas FC's Adolfo Aguiar got his second yellow card of the match in the 11th minute. The referee ordered Adolfo Aguiar off the ground. SC Monchite's Alexandre Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 15 minutes into the game, Ricardo Barbosa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Cláudio Pinto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jorge Cruz was extremely unlucky when he, in the 20th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Barbosa in the 25th minute of play forced SC Monchite's goalkeeper Cláudio Pinto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th match minute, SC Monchite was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simão Nunes to maneuver through the defense. Joel Ribeiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alexandre Costa in the 28th minute. Brochas FC's Joel Ribeiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Brochas FC from getting a goal against them. Cláudio Pinto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo Barbosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Simão Nunes managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Monchite's supporters rose to their feet, but Simão Nunes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joel Ribeiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alexandre Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 39th minute of the match SC Monchite got a corner. Brochas FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hugo Matias ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on SC Monchite's corner Hugo Matias fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Joel Ribeiro quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Barbosa in the 44th minute of play forced SC Monchite's goalkeeper Cláudio Pinto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Ricardo Barbosa came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Brochas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ricardo Barbosa couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Simão Nunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Joel Ribeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Alexandre Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cláudio Pinto was a little too slow when Ricardo Barbosa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 63rd minute. The score was now 0-2. Afonso Mota hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Alexandre Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Joel Ribeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 76 minutes, Alexandre Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Monchite's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexandre Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alexandre Costa in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joel Ribeiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Brochas FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Sérgio Moniz hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jorge Cruz in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joel Ribeiro saved Brochas FC from getting behind. After 84 minutes, Jorge Cruz made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Brochas FC's Joel Ribeiro tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Hugo Matias kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. In the 96th minute of the match Brochas FC got a corner. SC Monchite's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fernando Ferro ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Fernando Ferro almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but SC Monchite's Cláudio Pinto did a great save. When the final whistle went the supporters of Brochas FC were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant SC Monchite side.
