Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Eusébio Machado started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute, Rui Neves made a precise shot to the right of Tomás Bessa. SC Abadia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Tomás Bessa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusébio Machado, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 23rd minute, Eusébio Machado fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Tomás Bessa, passed just outside the right post. In the 27th minute, Pedro Brito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sandro Moniz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 28th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Pedro Porto. Pegas's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Pedro Porto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Neves, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. After a rather tough play, Pegas's Alberto Veiga got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Alberto Neves struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Pedro Porto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Abadia. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alberto Neves stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pegas's Pedro Brito got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 57 minutes, Eusébio Machado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pegas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eusébio Machado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rui Neves in the 58th minute of play forced SC Abadia's goalkeeper Tomás Bessa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 59 minutes into the game, Paulo Costa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Abadia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pegas the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusébio Machado in the 60th minute of play forced SC Abadia's goalkeeper Tomás Bessa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd minute, André Santarém left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Abadia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. António Martins charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed António Martins the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 67 played minutes SC Abadia got a freekick which was hit by António Martins. Pedro Porto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Neves in the 69th minute of play. Alberto Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tomás Bessa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rui Neves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. André Santarém succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 90th playminute. André Santarém fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Porto having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched SC Abadia eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
