The referee showed José Coimbra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of SC Garvao booed when Juvim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Coimbra didn't get a good kick on the ball. SC Garvao's Alfredo Monteiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save SC Garvao from getting a goal against them. Júlio Soares kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Alexandre Magalhães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Juvim booed when SC Garvao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristiano Reis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 27 minutes, Amadeu Coelho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Garvao's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amadeu Coelho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alexandre Magalhães was the one to do the kick off. If Afonso Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Afonso Pires in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alfredo Monteiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Afonso Pires managed to get in a good position for a shot. Juvim's supporters rose to their feet, but Afonso Pires was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfredo Monteiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 69 played minutes SC Garvao's Amadeu Coelho stole the ball from his opponents and shot the ball towards the upper left corner, but António Neves stretched himself as far as he could, and stopped the ball from passing the line. robbing Juvim of the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Juvim fans cheered their team off the field, for while SC Garvao had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
