Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Rui Coelho got the match started through his kick off. Henrique Borba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vítor Abreu, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. 5 minutes into the match, Humberto Dias notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Montazel's Lúcio Pinheiro. Lúcio Pinheiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rogério Veiga charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rogério Veiga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 13th minute, Rogério Veiga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 15th match minute, Carmoes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Humberto Dias to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Vítor Abreu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Montazel's supporters rose to their feet, but Vítor Abreu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henrique Borba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Carmoes's Henrique Borba proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Carmoes from getting a goal against them. Lúcio Pinheiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rui Coelho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th match minute, Montazel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diogo Baptista to maneuver through the defense. Vítor Abreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 41 minutes, Rui Coelho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carmoes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rui Coelho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The wind increased when Vítor Abreu made the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Carmoes got a freekick which was hit by Domingos Branco. Henrique Borba came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Montazel's Vítor Abreu. But to his dismay, Vítor Abreu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. After 58 played minutes Carmoes got a freekick which was hit by Domingos Branco. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre Aleixo in the 62nd minute of play forced Carmoes's goalkeeper Henrique Borba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 64 minutes into the game, Montazel's Alexandre Aleixo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Henrique Borba made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Vítor Abreu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Montazel's supporters rose to their feet, but Vítor Abreu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henrique Borba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vítor Abreu took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Henrique Borba. Henrique Borba dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. When Adolfo Martins came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Carmoes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adolfo Martins couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Montazel getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Diogo Baptista hit a great ball. Rui Coelho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Humberto Dias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Lúcio Pinheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 82nd match minute, Montazel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Pinho to maneuver through the defense. Domingos Branco kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. If Vítor Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vítor Abreu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henrique Borba having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Carmoes's zone, Alexandre Aleixo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henrique Borba came out of the goal and Alexandre Aleixo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
